I realise I've neglected my blog of late - but in my defence, m'lud, I've been busy and I'm still reading books - I'm just not yet at a point when I can do another review or commentary (there's a plan, you see...)
One of the reasons is that I've had a wedding anniversary so my good lady and I went away for the long Jubilee weekend to Plaitford in the New Forest and stayed at the splendid Shoe Inn - great food, great local beers and a really warm welcome. We'll no doubt go back there again sometime. Check it out:
